John Nemanic has experience in the Canadian financial industry. In 1992, John teamed up with Bill and Colin Campbell to develop MegaChoice Software, a chain of retail software stores. The partners then created I.D. Internet Direct Ltd. In November 1999, I.D. Direct Ltd. was amalgamated with a privately held company to form Look Communications.
In 1996, the partners purchased www.tucows.com, ultimately forming TUCOWS Interactive Inc. Tucows was named by FAST 50 as the 2nd fastest growing technology company 1999, and 3rd fastest growing company in Canada per Profit Magazine and Canadian Business for 1999. In May of 1999, a majority of TUCOWS Interactive Inc. was sold to the Steinmetz group and partners, and John moved onto a new entrepreneurial venture - Hostopia.com. John assumed the role of Chairman and CEO of Hostopia. In February 2007, after completion of Hostopia's IPO, John left Hostopia to pursue other opportunities.
John is currently a director of Transgaming Inc., and a director of GeeksForLess, a North American based corporation with the majority of its skilled workforce in Nikolaev, Ukraine.
